It does not however need to cost a lot of money, require you to buy disgusting products, or stay hungry. If you are always hungry your body can actually slow down and stop burning calories.</p>
<p>Everything you need to cleanse and detoxify your body can be found in nature. This makes it unnecessary to buy the expensive products that are available. With fruits and vegetables, you can remove the toxins and impurities more cheaply and better. Be careful if you are new to fiber however, and add it slowly.</p>
<p>If you are serious about being healthy it is important to drink enough water. Water is a major factor in detoxification. Citrus fruit is also very useful. When adding citrus to your diet, be sure to give your body enough time to adjust to the change.</p>
<p>Smoothies are a delicious way to incorporate the fruits and vegetables into your diet. If you add flax and fiber to the smoothie, it becomes even more healthy. Flax is important because it is a great source for omega-3 fatty acids and has anti-oxidant fighting properties.</p>
<p>One of the things to work on is how you eat. Take your time and chew your food. Where you eat should be relaxing. It is a good idea to switch from coffee to green tea also.</p>
<p>Chamomile tea is soothing for the evenings and dandelion tea will help cleanse. Salads are very beneficial too. Another great addition to your salad would be nuts like walnuts to add protein to your meal.</p>
<p>Detoxifying is not a quick fix, but rather a life long way of eating. Stay away from carbohydrates and refined sugars, and eat well. Even if you live here, there are an endless number of options, so it helps to make a list. The following restaurants are currently at the top of my list.</p>
<p>Lupa may not be as well known as Babbo or Del Posto, but houses some of the best pasta in the city, by none other than Mario Batali. It is always packed, however, and every time I have tried to get a table walking in, I have been unsuccessful.</p>
<p>Daniel &#8211; Chef Daniel Boulud&#8217;s masterpiece was recently named the #8 restaurant in the world on the San Pellegrino Worlds Best Restaurant list. Daniel supposedly serves the best French food in all of New York, and I cannot wait for an excuse to try it.</p>
<p>Two of my friends won big in Atlantic City the other week, and as a result, treated themselves to one of New York&#8217;s finest meals and one of its hardest restaurants to get into, Momofuku Ko. After a 15 course meal, in which the chef is cooking right before your eyes as you sit around a counter, both my friends exclaimed this is the best meal they have had.</p>
<p>WD-50 &#8211; Wylie Dufrenes is well known as the creator of the molecular gastronomy eating revolution. If you do not know what molecular gastronomy is, then you must google &#8220;wd 50&#8243; and check out some of the images that come up.</p>
<p>While I have been for lunch, I have yet to experience what many are calling the best brunch in the city. Co. Pizza in Chelsea. This spot has been known as one of the best Neapolitan pies the city currently has to offer, and I look forward to trying it.</p>
<p>Ok fine, I have not yet been to Shake Shack. I know, I know, how can I call myself I New Yorker. As bad as I want to try that burger I don&#8217;t think any burger is worth waiting on a 45 minute line for.</p>
<p>Per Se &#8211; Finally, one that I actually will be trying, let alone in 2 weeks! My loving parents feed into my obsession for food and got me a gift certificate for two for my birthday here. Per Se is regarded by many as the greatest restaurant in New York and I cannot wait to try it.</p>
