Are you interested in finding out about a day in the life of a web marketer? Now, in reality no two people are the same however this article will describe the way in which I used to live my life as a self proclaimed “web promotion specialist” prior to my beautiful children were born – and what a cozy life it was.

Being in this industry as a self-employed website marketer enables one to choose the amount of hours they work and to choose when they work. There is no set routine as in your average nine to five occupation and as such one can avoid having to drive in those miserable and frustrating rush hours. This is one of the reasons why I love to be able to provide web promotion tips and advice to various webmasters.

I for one would choose to work late at night as this is when I could concentrate the most and when I could get enough peace. There would be very little, if anything to distract me, such as people telephoning me, or people calling round etc. I could therefore fully focus on the job in hand which was to work hard to obtain top ten rankings in Google for my clients websites.

As such my main working day would commence at around 10.30pm and would continue until at least 2.30am. I thoroughly enjoy working in this way and in this profession, it suits me.

My day would start at about half past seven when I would awake, clean my teeth and go to the toilet. I would however then return to bed until around eleven o’clock to gain a few more hours valuable sleep.

It may seem rather sad but I would have a quick read of my e-mails before eating a bowl of cerial for my breakfast. It would then be a short stroll to the shops to purchase a newspaper before returning home.

After spending an hour on the phone to update various clients on their current search engine rankings I would then take a drive to the golf club.

At six o’clock I would cook my evening meal prior to watching some evening television.

10.30pm – time to start promoting the websites.

I am now a fully fledged member of the parenting club and life is rather more hectic these days – but I have to say is even better than before, if that is possible.

I am now involved in various projects including offering people stuttering courses as well as providing company’s with cost reduction specialists; something which is much sought after in a recession.

Life as a person who offers a web promotion service was, at the time, a very enjoyable one and I would certainly recommend other people to enter into this profession.

Advertising For Small Businesses That Works

Do you like to throw money down the drain? No way is your likely answer. Why ask such a daft question? Well in reality it is not such a daft question as millions of pounds or dollars are basically thrown away each and every day by companies on advertising campaigns that simply do not deliver. It is never good practice to waste your money but in a recession, like we are currently in, it could spell disaster. What is required is small business advertising projects that work.

So you have a restaurant, we will use a restaurant as an example of a small business. The owner or owners of the restaurant obviously want to fill their establishment every night and to do so they must attract customers. Before deciding on the best way of promoting the business the owners need to do their homework to ensure that they only choose restaurant advertising accessories that work, this sure helps with cost reduction.

In this particular industry a neon lighting menu board is becoming ever more popular and is an idea that has been bought to these shores after achieving high success in the Far East. The attitude here is “if it works over there then it could well work over here”. The quality is of utmost importance, anything that looks cheap is a real No No? Enough said!

In other businesses, small or large, doing your homework before going ahead with an advertising campaign is crucial. What has been the success rate of other similar ventures from other companies that are in your sector? It would certainly be prudent to ask to speak with the relevant representative from the company itself to hear exactly how the advertising went etc.

In this day and age a large percentage of advertising spend goes into promoting a company website. A high quality and professional web promotion service does not come cheap but if the results stack up then it can easily be money well spent.

Certain areas of the internet are very competitive such as debt management, web design and companies offering cheap calls however if you are offering more of a niche product then this should not be so expensive as it would be far easier for the web promotion expert to obtain high search engine rankings for your site.
