Do you want to write a book? Many people do, but the idea of sitting down to write for months and years before they finish their book puts them off. What if I could show you an easy way to write your book, and sell it, in a week? That might make it easier for you, and encourage you to get started writing.
Firstly, something about me. I wrote my first book in the 1970s, and have written and sold many books. In the past several years, I’ve managed to short-cut the process, thanks to the power of the online world. Nowadays, you can write fast and sell fast.
Why do you want to write at book length? Perhaps your career demands it. Perhaps you’re looking for a way to make money from home. Or perhaps you’re in marketing, and know that you can portray yourself as an expert, when you become an author.
Let’s look at a simple process which will allow you to write — and sell — your book in a week.
1. Get your “must read idea.” Your first step is to get an idea for a book which has many potential readers. (You can skip this step if you already have an idea.) Browse the bookstore shelves. Alternatively, make a list of topics which interest you, and then check to see whether people are searching for this topic online.
I encourage you to select a topic quickly. You’re learning a simple process, which you can repeat many times to write many books. Browse the shelves at your local library to get ideas.
2. Now you need to do two things: write an outline of your book’s chapters — just a list, keep it brief — and start a blog on the topic you’ve chosen. A blog will get you both readers and feedback. Having readers convinces publishers that your book idea is worthwhile.
There’s no need to blog at length. A few posts are fine. Write them while you’re writing a quick outline of the chapters which your book will contain.
3. Choose a couple of hot areas from the chapter ideas you’ve created, and write a short ebook — aim for 20 pages. Your aim in writing this electronic short version of your material is just to get some sales — and then a publisher.
In this article, I’ve shown you a very simple way in which you can write fast, and can sell your book. Although this method is very simple, it’s also powerful — get started today.
